Strike Suit Zero Was Highlight Of Eurogamer Expo For Us

We attended the Eurogamer Expo last week to check out what was hot, and to be honest we were a little let down. Yes you had all the big developers and publishers showing off their wares, but as far as the smaller studios they were few and far between. One did catch our eye, and that was Born Ready Games showing off their up and coming title Strike Suit Zero. This is Born Ready Games first title as an independent developer and they have been travelling the world showing it off. The game is due for release on the PC soon, with consoles to follow next year.

While we were at the Expo, we had the chance to chat with the guys from Born Ready Games and get hands on with Strike Suit Zero. Just so we could learn a little more about the title. Basically Strike Suit Zero is a space combat game set far in the future, where the Earth is under attack and you somehow get your hands on some Alien technology to aid in the fight. I was standing there looking at the screens and just had to play it, and I am glad I did as it played every bit as good as it looked. The first thing you will notice is the awesome music that seems to compliment and add to the game. Then the space environment you find yourself in, has been incredibly created to give you the feeling of exactly how vast space really is. You can turn, twist and fly in any direction you wish with fast precise   action. The ship you pilot has also got a boost function to allow you to get straight into the action fast, when needed. The graphics were crisp and highly detailed, and with this being the PC version I asked the guys how close would the console version be to this one. They said it would be virtually the same, which I hope it is. And for all those of you who are wondering if I used a mouse and keyboard to control the game, well I didn’t have to as they already had Xbox controllers set up for use. So I can honestly say the control system was just great and easy to master on the Xbox controller.

So there I was zooming about this vast game, trying my best to shoot down the enemy targets. When I was instructed to press a button, which transformed my ship into a much more maneuverable Strike Suit. This suit locked onto multiple targets at the same time taking them down, then zipping across to take down incoming enemy rockets, and wow. After that I was hooked and could not put the controller down. When the game is released there will be a number of different craft, each one will also be upgradable as will your suit. Born Ready Games also said they have big plans for Strike Suit Zero after release with DLC’s being among those plans. With space combat titles being few and far between, I think they have got a real winner on their hands. Strike Suit Zero speaks for itself and truly is a pleasure to play and to look at, so hurry up Born Ready Games and give us Xbox gamers a real treat.

Hi, well about me, I am a slave to one wife, father of two boys and never get any peace, lol. My passion in life is gaming and I am part owner of XCLANN. I like all types of games, but it has to grab my attention in the first 10 minutes, as I have a short attention span. I have been playing games for over 20 years now, as I started with my ZX Spectrum 48K. I am just a gamer giving a gamers view which is the most important.

I would hope so lol. Split screen on a PC would be hlirrboe. Besides, we have servers that support up to and over 150 people . One day I hope they allow 360 users to connect to them. But that would mean that both PC users and 360 users have to have the same updates. Would be cool though
